I was doing some winter repairs on some cracks across the top of a Supra style wing saddleand needed some experienced advice. Just want to make sure the wing hold down bolts don't get permanently glued into their threads. I'm figuring waxing the bolts and putting some wax into the bolt holes might do it, along with the polyethylene sheet between the wing and saddle. Plus I've got tape on the bottom of the wing - just in case. Any advice would help. John
I think your procedure should work. As an extra safeguard against permanantly epoxying in the bolts use nylon bolts when you do the repair. If for some reason the epoxy gets in the threads you can easily drill out the nylon bolts and clean up the threads with a tap. Stew
